Service of Remembrance
This year we will start the Service at the Lych Gate. The Lych Gate was built as a memorial to those who gave their lives in war. The Lord Lieutenant for Essex has asked that her deputies should lay wreaths on her behalf throughout the county at war memorials, to recognise and honour those who lost their lives. Simon Hall, who is a deputy lieutenant, will be with us to lay one of those wreaths. After the laying of a wreath we will process, along with the uniformed organisations from the village, into the church for the rest of the service.
