Church News June 2026
New Rector
Still no luck. We are about to start a new round of advertising. Let’s hope for better things to come. In the meantime, we continue to organise services as usual. We look forward to welcoming you to any of them. Please see 'services' tab for more details.
Bell Sunday
Last month we had a very happy celebration of bells and bell ringers. Much joyful singing and quite a long coffee break afterwards – lots of chat!
The only thing that was missing was some hand bell ringing. ann confesses that was her fault – She dared to go on holiday on the week we should have been rehearsing. We will do better next year. We will almost certainly ring the hand bells for Harvest Festival. Let Ann know if you would like to join in. No musical ability required – Ann – 01376 561505.
Village Fayre – Jam and Jigsaws!
The church will have a stall this year, selling preserves and jigsaws. If you have some jigsaws you would like to donate, do bring them along. There will be lots for sale – why not stock up for a rainy day on holiday (will we ever have such a thing again!)
Advance warning – Pop Up Teas and the Church Fete
We will be serving cream teas and home made cakes in the churchyard again this year on Sunday 5th, Sunday 12th and Sunday 19th of July.
Do come along and if you would like to help, please ring Jane on 07810 566328 or Ann on 01376561505
The Fete will be on Saturday the 29th August at Walcotts Hall by kind permission of Simon Hall and Nicki Bolton
